Internally called the "no holds barred" rim, this rim is the result of almost a year of R&D efforts to push the limits of weight, stiffness and durability available in a carbon rim. Our goal was to make the ultimate XC racing rim on the planet (yes, we set our sights high!). What our engineers came up with delivers; with an abundance of lateral stiffness, our trademark asymmetrical design, generous 23mm inner width and a continued refinement of our Rockguard Hookless bead provides best in the industry durability to rock strikes or other direct rim impacts. In short, if you are looking for speed, a wheelset built around the Skyline rims is the best upgrade you can make for your bike.

We offer the Skyline 29 as a single rim or a complete wheelset. Our wheelsets are handbuilt right here in Tennessee using only the best components; Sapim CX-Ray or Race spokes and DT Swiss alloy Pro Lock squorx nipples. Uniweave construction blends two composite fabric types, 3K and Unidirectional to create the strongest structure possible.

The RockGuard HL bead is a reinforced hookless bead designed to provide the ultimate in bead strength for AM applications.

The Anti-Burp Bump makes initial tire inflation easier and prevents burping on the trail.

Most rims are in stock and ship in 1-3 days. Custom wheel builds take 4 weeks or more depending upon hub availability. Any cancelled complete wheelset orders are subject to a cancellation fee as high as 20% depending on if the wheel has been built. For pricing or to configure a wheelset, use the drop down menu below. We only recommend using tires intended for hookless rims on the Skyline 29. Though the Skyline can work safely with tires up to 2.5", the rim works best with tire widths ranging from 33mm-2.25".
