Aaron Fader

Aaron Fader is a Cat 1 mountain bike racer who lives in Bloomington, Illinois. Aaron's interest in bikes and bike racing was picked up through his older brother who worked in a bike shop for many years. According to Aaron, the only thing better than working in the bike industry, is having a brother who works in the industry! Aaron has been racing mountain bikes, cross bikes and road bikes on and off for the last 15 years, but has really focused on mountain bike racing for the last few years. He won the Illinois State Championship XC Series in 2012, and was 3rd in the Series in 2013. He has tried his luck at a few endurance races as well. He finished in the top 20 in the Lumberjack 100 in both 2011 and 2012, and finished 11th in the Berryman Trail Epic in 2013. Aaron says that 2014 might be the year he gets serious about endurance racing and makes a run at a few races.

When not on his bike, and spends his time with his wife and two young girls and is also active in promoting cycling through his local team, Bloomington Cycle and Fitness.

Brian Rogers

Atlantan Brian Rogers competes in ultracross--an event that combines gravel road, mountain bike, and cyclocross racing and demands both endurance and keen bike handling skills as its participants negotiate 60- to 200-mile courses. Brian was the 2011 and 2012 mens open division winner of the American UltraCross Championship Series. Also in 2012, he finished the 200-mile mind-numbing, bone-rattling Dirty Kanza 200 (Emporia, KS) in 16th place with a time of 13 hours and 8 minutes on his first attempt. When not traveling around the Southeast and up and down the East Coast in search of racing glory, Brian endeavors to see new places and find new roads on multi-day and multi-state bike adventures. In April of this year, he completed a 10-day, 900-mile solo ride from Walhalla, SC, through the western North Carolina and Virginia mountains, and along the Potomac River to reach Washington, DC. He strongly believes that the best way to experience any place is by bike.

He currently races in Cross Country, Endurance and Enduro with top placings in all disciplines. He was the overall champion in the Cat 2 Category in his first full Cross Country Racing season, Bryson has since bumped up to Cat 1 and is growing here as well with a 1st Place finish and multiple podiums this season. His main focus at this time is to continually grow and advance his skills in all 3 Categories. In order to do this he will travel around the western U.S. riding in the NUE Series such as the Park City Point to Point, Pierre's Hole 100 as well as Racing in the Bell Enduro Cup and the Intermountain/USCS Cup in his home town of Utah.

He started Mountain Biking with his Dad around the age of 14. He was not a strong rider to say the least and thought that he had asthma everytime he was on a ride due to the high altitude riding and his lack of mental and physical strength. Since then, he has aquired a love for climbing and has advanced and grown into a dedicated part time racer and full time lover of all things biking.

In his home town of Salt Lake City, Utah he is only minutes away of some of the best riding the nation has to offer and takes advantage of it daily!

He enjoys helping others learn about cycling by teaching them the knowledge that he has learned over the years as well as learning from others and their experiences.

Look for Bryson as he continues his fast ascent to the top of the podium in all three disciplines!

Dan Atkins

Dan Atkins is a Cat 1 mountain bike racer from the Baltimore, Maryland area. Dan grew up surrounded by cyclists, so it was no surprise when he started ripping around on the bike. During his high school years he became intrigued with his dad’s IF Steel Deluxe singlespeed and it wasn’t long before had a singlespeed of his own. After showing up to every group ride he could find, Dan started to hit the local XC race scene and found success. To fund the addiction, Dan started his several year stint as a shop-rat where he was introduced to many great people who have helped him along the way, though he now works for a small Managed Service Provider. XC racing is where Dan excels but his heart is still in endurance racing and the NUE series, racing both Open and Singlespeed categories. In the past year or so, he has upped his technical and descending skills and is excited to get into the Enduro race scene, even if it’s on his hardtail. Dan is also active in the trailwork/advocacy community and leads rides for new riders through his team, Old Line Velo. For 2014, he is excited to race his favorite XC and endurance races, as well as roostin’ around some Enduro events!

Dave's first 24 hour race was the 24hrs of Adrenalin in Canmore, AB. He finished the event in 6th place and ever since then he has been hooked. The following year he placed 3rd in this event, and the year after, he went on to win it.

Michael Reardon

Mike began competitive XC and endurance racing about 5 years ago upon relocating to Chattanooga, TN and being surrounded by miles and miles of wonderful singletrack. As an outdoor and sports enthusiast, he spent summers in Wyoming mountaineering and rock climbing until suffering three knee injuries and subsequent surgeries. During the third round of rehab he turned his attention to cycling and has been hooked since then. He mainly spends time racing endurance/NUE events in the Southeast including Big Frog, Mohican, Syllamoe's Revenge and Fool's Gold. In 2013 he managed a 1st singlespeed, 4th overall in the Big Frog 65 and 3rd singlespeed in the Lula Lake 50. Yet, the highlights for the 2013 season were traveling to Italy to race in the Single Speed World Championships and competing in the six day Breck Epic and Pisgah Production's two day Double Dare events. With a solid base from several seasons of endurance racing, he plans to broaden his racing for the 2014 season to include some super D and enduro events as well as more multi-day/stage races. Off the bike Mike spends his free time with his wife and two young children. At the age of two his son Campbell already enjoys mountain biking on his Strider at the local trails and pump track and had fun at the kids races hosted during the mountain bike events.

Philip Van Hemelen

Philip Van Hemelen is a elite race who lives in Belgium. At only 22 years old, he is one of the youngest competitive endurance / marathon racers in Belgium. Despite his age, Philip managed to win 2 races and gained several podium spots in the past few years. In the big marathon races in Belgium he is always competing for a top 10 finish. Philip also participated in top European racers where he competed against pro riders. Philip did great at the Salzkamergut Trophy in Austria with an 8th place. In Neustadt an der Weinstrasse (Germany) he had to drop of top 10 due to illness. This illness could not stop him from continuing the race and finishing 20th in a very strong field (for instance Karl Plat, multiple winner Absa Cape Epic, was 2nd). While Philip is a true mountain biker, in the off-season he takes on some duathlon races and trail runs, also with great success. Last year he became the Belgian champion long distance off-road duathlon U23. This is a very famous race in Belgium and it is called 'The hell of Kasterlee'. It's a grueling endurance race which consists of 15k running, 110k mountain biking and 30k running. Next season Philip is aiming higher. He will compete in some international stage races. Also he will take part in a UCI Marathon World series, witch is about the highest level you can compete at for mountain bike marathon racing (except for the world championships). Hopefully Philip can ride his Nox Composites wheels to a nice result!

Tim Gale

Tim is a mechanical engineer living in London, Ontario.  He's been riding as long as he can remember and racing occasionally since he was in high school.  His first race was a local Wednesday night race series at Hardwood Hills, where the national championships were just held. He doesn't remember how he did but it doesn't matter, because after that he was hooked. After he graduated from university he got serious about racing.  He loves to push himself to go faster, and hence, his primary focus in the summer is the Ontario Cup.  This is the biggest and most well attended race series in Canada.
Although this series is his summer focus, he races everything from short local series to 100 milers and the occasional mtb stage race. He honed much of his skill racing the 8-hour solo format. Here he learned what his body was capable of and how to push past what he thought were limits. Those 8-hour races gave him a huge base to build on in the coming years.
His goals are to continue to improve and learn to race faster and smarter. But more importantly, to never stop having fun on the bike.

Tommy Rodgers

Tommy began racing bicycles at age 13 on a BMX. He first rode a mountain bike the summer after 11th grade and was hooked. He raced his mountain bike the next summer for the first time, and rode regularly off and on for several years. However, it wasn’t until he turned 33 that he began racing seriously again. Since then he has raced mountain, road, and cyclocross bikes. He quickly climbed the ranks, and he has been successful in Category 1 MTB, Category 3 & Masters road, and Category 2 cyclocross racing.
In 2012, on the mountain bike, he finished 2nd overall in the Maxxis Southern Classic Series (Category 1 30-39, after suffering an untimely collar bone break). Tommy returned to racing 13 weeks after his injury to win 3 consecutive XC and endurance races (thanks to much trainer time). He was also titled the 2012 VA and SC State Champion, and 2nd overall in the Triad MTB race series. Tommy reached the podium in 91% of the 11 MTB races he entered in 2012, winning 6 outright. He also reached his ultimate goal in 2012 by obtaining a professional license within 3 years as a Cat 1. To achieve this he raced against the toughest competition in the Southeast region.
2013, Tommy’s first season in the pro ranks, resulted in 4 wins, two seconds, a third, and 2 fourth-place finishes. He continues to race road, CX, and both XC and Endurance MTB.
Tommy is a Registered Dietitian and works with athletes in his private practice. His beautiful wife, Melanie, is a Registered Nurse working in pediatrics. They have a 2-year-old daughter, the lovely Lillian Rose, who already has a running bike awaiting her as soon as she is ready!
